CYFIRMA Announces $15 Million Investment Led by Goldman Sachs

CHICAGO, IL, May 30, 2018 – CYFIRMA, the cybersecurity division of global Big Data analytics company Antuit, announces an additional investment of $15 million from Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) and Zodius Capital (“Zodius”). This new financing, which will be used primarily to fund the development and operations of CYFIRMA’s cyberdefense business, brings Goldman Sachs’ investment in Antuit to $57 million and makes it the firm’s largest shareholder and investor.

CYFIRMA delivers market-leading cyberthreat intelligence and visibility solutions powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. The division’s cyber intelligence analytics platform provides comprehensive, real-time insights into emerging cyberthreats, attack motives and methods, customized to a client’s industry and IT environment.

CYFIRMA’s intelligence-driven solutions enable companies to optimize their cyber posture and better allocate security resources against well-funded, increasingly sophisticated enemies — an approach that has proven effective for the division’s clients, who evaded compromise by WannaCry, Petya, Bad Rabbit and other significant cyberbreaches in 2017.

“Companies can no longer afford to ignore the rapidly changing cyberthreat landscape, an issue that requires immediate attention and action,” said Kumar Ritesh, CYFIRMA Chairman and CEO. “To effectively manage cyber risk, organizations must fully understand the cybercriminals they face. CYFIRMA enables clients to keep pace with malicious threat actors, anticipate breaches and prioritize their actions to neutralize risks.”

“CYFIRMA’s unique intelligence enables clients to take proactive countermeasures against upcoming attacks, and strengthen their security resources cost-effectively,” said Ankur Sahu, co-head of Goldman Sachs' Merchant Banking Division (MBD) in Asia Pacific and an Antuit board member. “There is a clear need in the market for CYFIRMA’s application of contextual threat intelligence to cybersecurity, and our investment will enable CYFIRMA to better serve this growing and important market.”

CYFIRMA defends against cyberattacks by supplying organizations with real-time threat intelligence that enables them to take a more proactive security approach. By aggregating, correlating and analyzing information from hundreds of thousands of sources on the open and dark web, CYFIRMA, helps companies anticipate what types of attacks are most likely to occur and provide the most effective response. CYFIRMA is a subsidiary of Antuit, a global analytics firm. For more information about CYFIRMA, please visit:
